Morning gents, and thanks for the welcome. The "minnie" comes from my callsign during my stint at the Unit. My name is Mark Tyler. Sorry I only read about the names after I had already registered. I served under Tony during the 78 - 79 era.

Hi "Minnie" :D do not sweat about the nic you have chosen, your old call sign was a good call. If you do want it changed, you are welcome to pm George Coetzee at admin with your request. I served in 32Bn over a similar period to you. Did you by any chance play hockey during your time at Inf School? I am trying hard to put a face to your name that I remember very well. ;)

You must have had a great experience serving with an Officer and Gentleman like Tony. I have asked Tony, and he cannot remember this guy’s name, maybe you can help. He was red haired Sgt from Paarl I think, a naughty little shit, and think he worked with Koos P. I met him once years later and think he was either a Judge or Prosecutor.

Hi Hagar, now you have me thinking, I remember the guy very well his nic could have been "Tracer", obviosly with the red hair!! I will speak to a mate of mine Piet Steenkamp also went to Infantry School over the same period as us.

Welcome aboard Minnie. Hagar, are you guys talking of "the" Sgt. Tracer. If it is the same guy, hell we served together in Golf Coy, a real Bull Terrier of a person. Short, stocky with glasses. If so, then please do not ask me his real name, cause now way I can remember.
