Hi Banana, is your Dad still alive and if so, is it possible to find out which company or platoon he served in? His real surname might also help some of the guys remember. I had a Tony in the Anti Tank platoon, but do not recall him being referred to as "Banana". So I can be of no more help, but let’s keep trying, and hope you can give us a bit more information.
